I have not been writing on the ol' blog lately, as the muse has simply not been speaking to me. Our family has just been busy living a simple life, and I am as happy and fulfilled as I have felt in many years. Kindergarten has been such an amazing experience for our little Noah, and it has truly given him the gift of confidence and faith in himself. He is playing soccer now (his team is the Lions - see video. That is Noah in the middle, unable to stand still or control his enthusiasm), and has taken to the game like a kid in a candy store. He loves it, as he is just in love with his life at present.
Avery is thriving and happy in his two year old class. He is so playful, and verbal that we are all feeling so lucky to have him in our lives every day. He emulates everything that is Noah, and they now play together more than ever - though they fight equally as much. Either way - I am madly in love with them, and feel so much pride that I am lucky enough to be in their lives. I look forward to both of my boys waking up everyday.
Jessica and I are just enjoying every moment of the fall, though we have decided that we have never been this busy before. We have seen some great shows like Explosions in the Sky and the Fleet Foxes together, and have spent most of our time outdoors. Cookouts with friends, beer in a can, mountain hikes, walks around the block, evening tea on the porch, playing reindeer games with the kids - and doing the work.
The simple life is the fit for me now.
Lucky, lucky, lucky.
