We can all certainly agree that non-violent protest is a cornerstone of American history, from the Sons of Liberty, to Thoreau, to the Greensboro Four, to the passage of the 19th amendment - peaceful protest is a worthy action, despite one's political leanings.What we hope for is that our children remember that their parents believed in something, and were willing to show up.
