We have hiked many, many trails during this pandemic, and these last few weeks have been no exception. It has been crucial for all of our mental health to get out of the house each day, but social distancing limits options. So hiking through the woods has checked all of the boxes.
To be fair though, our kids are just totally done with it. One more hike may be the thing that puts them over the edge. But we have spent most of our time in Montreat (our favorite), but have also been to Rocky Fork State Park in TN, as well as Hickory Nut Gorge, Laurel River, etc.
Grateful to live in the Blue Ridge Mountains, especially now.
