Ever since Jessica and I started back at our respective schools, Noah has been in the best mood ever. It is not that he was in a bad mood all summer, it is just that he is now in this amazing mood - all the time. It is great! He is so wide open, and truly appreciates adventures. It is still so amazing to see him grow up each day. He is my buddy and I am inspired by him. I used to envision when he would have his own likes and dislikes - and here we are. Here are some of his likes and dislikes:
Likes: ice cream, pancakes, scooby-doo, water, pools, slides, playgrounds, swings, music, Max and Ruby, milk, pajamas, wearing dresses, running, Star Wars, games, dinosaurs, puzzles, singing, little people books, pasta, talking, Spiderman, screaming, the grocery store, and grandparents.
Dislikes: getting dressed, getting ready to take baths, brushing teeth, stopping whatever he is doing, red meat, naps, diaper changes. . . hmmm that is about it.
School is going well. I am excited to be back and my students seem amazing. I am teaching AP World History and Humanities this semester so I am having a fantastic time with the content. We had our first Ultimate Frisbee game today and, though it was too hot, we had a great time. I was invited by some teacher buddies to join a fantasy football league. I agreed and immediatly called my brother to beg for help. I do not follow the NFL too well - so I am going to suck at this. I need a good team name though - any ideas?
Jessica is enjoying school as well, though they just started today. She loves it though and every day at Asheville Middle School is action-packed. Your tax money pays for the whole seat - but you only use the edge!
Our house is now officially on the market. (see it here) We put an offer on another house last week - but it is per contingency. (meaning: the house is ours as long as we sell our house in two months.) The good news is that since we put it on the market, we have had 4 different folks come to look at it. Maybe it will be the house for one of them?
