We have been running on fumes lately, as our family schedule is presently total madness. Avery is fully in classic soccer world (three trainings per week plus games and tournaments on weekends), Noah is finishing up high school, working many hours at Pop Bubble Tea, and running tech for the school play - while I am also assistant coaching our women's soccer team. Aside from working, Jessica is running much of our schedule these days, with Avery's soccer schedule and Noah's college applications and scholarships. So, Spring Break sort of snuck up on us this year and we decided to keep it simple, by going to Charleston for several days. We ate well, hung at the beach a bit, took walks, and I even found three records in the wild that had been on my search list for years (Sex Pistols, Cheap Trick Live at Budokan, and Kiss Hotter Than Hell - which completed my collection of all Kiss albums with the original four members).
I love Charleston so much, and as we have lived in the mountains for 25 years, the South Carolina low country is the perfect counterweight to the cool mountains from time to time. This week perfectly fit the bill.
