Our Holiday was fun, and busy. We enjoyed Christmas at our house and headed to Winston-Salem around midday. Noah had a blast hanging out with Sam and opening presents. Avery was cuddled and held, so he was more than pleased. Jessica and I just had so much fun seeing everyone - including my great old friends Kylie, Leslie, and Meredith. We have not all seen each other in about 3 years, so I am here to give mad props to Facebook for facilitating a reunion with my high school buddies. It is not easy to bring together four people as far flunged as Asheville, Chicago, DC, and Atlanta - but that is what happened. And though Facebook has many, many flaws - it works well for things like this. Jessica and I also took the kids to the Children's Museum of W-S, and it is amazing. (You can climb a beanstalk up two stories!) Though Avery still seems to be nursing an ear infection, we stayed busy and headed back to the mountains on Monday. But the temperature here in Asheville is downright frightening, so we have exhausted about every indoor play option available for the little boys. Thus, it is safe to say that the entire family is looking for some individual time to gather our thoughts :). So for me, that meant a short drive to Wolf Ridge for some snowboarding today. Conditions: acceptable, but not great. Fun? YES!
