In sad news, my sister, Molly's (the picture is Molly and Noah) house was broken into last Thursday, while she and Gary were at work. The thieves stole two televisions, a play station, lockboxes, and their dog, Duncan. Molly and Gary are dealing with it in the best way possible, but the theft of Duncan has really hit them hard. I mean, who steals a dog? Anyways, one of the most overlooked elements of being victimized by theft is knowing that there was a stranger in your home when you were unaware. It is hard to feel safe again. Molly and Gary (as well as their sons Blake and Brady) are struggling with this, and are hesitant to return home. Our whole family is surprised, pissed off, sad, and generally disappointed. What makes it worse is that their house was struck by lightning less than one year ago. The lightning destroyed virtually every piece of electronic equipment in the house, which had to be replaced. They bought two new televisions. When Molyl called the insurance agent about the breakin - he still actually had the receipts for the TVs. They are feeling pretty unlucky lately, and who can blame them?
